Gratitude

The power of gratitude is infinite in the sense that it can change lives. So why does being grateful have such a big impact on us? And how can we incorporate gratitude into our daily lives? Let’s take a closer look.

When you look at energy, the true feeling of gratitude is a high frequency vibration. Thoughts produce vibration and energy. Gratitude makes you feel good because it is a high frequency emotion and is closer in vibration to your natural state as a being of pure energy. So feeling and practicing gratitude puts you into a vibration that will attract more of what you are grateful for.

“If you practice gratitude a little, your life will change a little. If you practice gratitude a lot every day, your life will change dramatically and in ways that you can hardly imagine.”

― Rhonda Byrne, The Magic

According to Gregg Brad, “In each moment of every day, a conversation is taking place inside us. It’s the silent, often subconscious, and never-ending conversation of emotion-based signals between our hearts and our brains, also known as the heart brain connection. The reason this conversation is so important is because the quality of the emotional signal our hearts sends to our brains determines what kind of chemicals our brains release into our bodies.”

So positive, high frequency thoughts also keep you physically healthy due to the chemicals you are emitting into your body.

Gratitude can change your perceptions and draw you towards happiness and joy instead of worry and stress. It may be a little difficult at first but with practice, it becomes natural. Also, remember it is not just saying “thank you” that makes the difference. It is feeling it that is key. Gregg Braden presented the following scientifically accepted information: The human heart is 100x greater than that of the brain, and that the magnetic field produced by the heart is 5,000x greater than that of the brain. Which is to say, the heart is creating a force field of impressive potency. The potency of this field gives it the ability to shift feelings both within the individual and outside the individual.

Tips on bringing gratitude into your life!

-“It only takes a few minutes in the morning to use gratitude to Have A Magical Day by giving thanks for the events in your day ahead of time, but this one practice alone will change the way your entire day unfolds.”

― Rhonda Byrne, The Magic

-Sitting down during a meal and giving thanks for being able to nourish your body

-Before sleep, go through a list of things you are grateful for and say them out loud to give it more power or even write them down. As Wayne Dyer had said ““As you lie in bed preparing for your nightly slumber, remember that the last thought you have in your mind can last up to four hours in your subconscious mind. That’s four hours of programming from just one moment of contemplation prior to going into your unconscious state.

-Finding love and gratitude in every person in your life. Even if you are in a disagreement with someone, by focusing on their good qualities and being grateful for that, you are placing your focus and attention on the good.

-When things might not be going your way, sit back and focus on the things that are and be grateful for them.

-When you catch yourself complaining or gossiping, stop, breathe and refocus on gratitude. There is always something to be grateful for.

-Say thank you for all the little things people do for you, however small they are.

-When you make a mistake, see the growth opportunity and be grateful for it.

-Share gratitude with your friends and family, whether it is giving thanks at the dinner table or telling them how grateful you are to have them in your life

-Thank the people who provide service for you. From your store clerk to the waitress at a restaurant, firefighter to police officer, post office worker to your banker, the list can go on.

-When you look in the mirror or at your body be grateful. Say thank you for the person you are today.

-Be mindful of everything you are using and give thanks. Examples, running water, electricity, vehicle to get you around, heat during cold nights, etc.

As Thanksgivings is a wonderful time to reflect on our lives and be grateful, we should not limit that to once a year but at least once per day. Thank you for reading this piece of writing that I wrote with a grateful heart. May it have brought you an understanding of the power of gratitude and help you to incorporate it into your life!
