Barefoot and happy! The easiest way to re-charge and boost your health
Walking through life barefoot is one of the most natural things for me.
I love having the earth touch my feet. But are there benefits to this? The answer is most definitely YES!
The earth carries negative ions and the atmosphere carries positive ions. Living in the city, wearing shoes and working/living on the 3rd or 22nd floor tends to inhibit this connection with the earth, in turn we absorb too many positive ions. In order to maintain balance and harmony in our bodies, we need to get the energy from the earth. As waterfalls and heavy rains give off negative ions, most people living in the city aren’t getting enough. Think of your last vacation near the ocean, walking barefoot with the waves crashing. You are absorbing negative ions which can re-charge and ground you, produce happy hormones (ex, serotonin), lessen joint pain, increase quality of sleep, lower blood pressure and the list goes on. Plus by walking on different surfaces you are getting a double whammy by activating your reflexology points!
